What is it?

We provide an easy automatic class schedule creator for extracurricular activities aimed mostly at private schools or individual tutors.We know how difficult it is to get precise availability from all of your students.We know how each time someone will be unhappy with the plan, no matter how good it is.We bring the power of science to solve it.

How does it work?

Step 1

Register your school / classes in IdealSchedule.com, configure available time slots and generate a link for your students.If you want, the link can also be used for tracking student registrations for your classes.

Step 2

The student goes to the link and provides his regular school timetable, his availability and preferred lesson slots.

Step 3

Real magic happens when you close the registration. The system takes all the input from your students, match students on the same level into groups and assigns them time slots. All of this is done automatically to maximize global happiness - the goal is to have as many students have their classes in their preferred time as possible.

Step 4

When working on the final timetable, you can configure some rules, like group size, how many classes the same group should have in a week, etc.
When the timetable is ready, your students will be notified and will be able to check it online using the same link.

How does the calculation work?

We apply integer programming to calculate your ideal timetable. We are bringing this high-tech solution, used for years, by big shipping companies or for air traffic management, to you.

The objective function takes multiple factors into account, like:

  • Student individual preferences for time slots

  • Size of groups

  • Time interval between the same classes

  • Minimizing gaps in classes

....and much more.
